The first International Cartoon Festival National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company

-Optimal Consumption of oil Products (petrol, oil, gasoline)
-Considering the safety cases in gaslight automobiles
Conditions:
Each participant can send maximum 6 artworks
Sending (Name, family name,photo, post address, Email address and Tel) of
artists Just by word file is necessary
The catalogue will be send to the entire artist that their artworks published in the catalogue
Artworks must be in 200 dpi by width or length of 1500 pixel by jpg format.
Secretariat of the festival has the copyright of printing and exhibiting the received works
Attending in the competition means the artists agree with all rules of the festival

The International Cartoonists Club CARTUNION invites cartoonists from around the world to take part in the contest "We are electing."

Historical experience shows that the election - is not only a formal democratic procedure, but also a great chance to
explore the human nature. Here, at the polling station, you have a chance to watch the clash of amazing characters, to
observe the cowardice and desperate insolence on one side and the civic courage of the other.

In other words, the election is the perfect reason for artists-satirists to roll up their sleeves and take up a pencil or a
computer mouse.

The rules of the contest:

1. Works should be sent electronically to the following address: cartoongallery@gmail.com
2. Picture format: A3, jpg or gif. The resolution should be
sufficient for high quality printing (at least 300 dpi).
3. Deadlines for sending: February 15, 2012
4. The authors of the three best works will be awarded with the Honorary Diploma of the International Cartoonists Club.
5. The organizers reserve the right to publish the submitted drawings
without monetary compensation.
6. Selected works will be presented on the CARTUNION site:
http://www.cartoon-expo.com/. We are also planning the traveling exhibition of the best works.

Several countries have already expressed an interest in this collection. Among them are: Australia, France, Canada, China,
Bulgaria, Poland.

It would be also great if you could advertise this contest on your site.

Concurso de humor gráfico

Correspondências culturais 2012

BASES

A editora SAURE convoca o 1º concurso de HUMOR GRÁFICO “CORRESPONDÊNCIAS CULTURAIS” que terá caráter internacional.

Os participantes deverão produzir um trabalho sobre o valor das correspondências culturais: a descoberta de outras tradições, outras culturas, outros idiomas que enriquecem nossa visão de mundo e de vida; a capacidade de saber como avaliar o diálogo entre o chamado conhecimento ocidental e o conhecimento tradicional milenar; ter olhos para aqueles que são diferentes; ter ouvidos para ouvir suas vozes, suas melodias, suas canções, suas histórias, etc.; manter os laços e a admiração pelos intercâmbios culturais.

1. PARTICIPANTES

Todas as pessoas que quiserem poderão participar, a partir dos 14 anos. Cada participante poderá inscrever no máximo três obras.

2. MODO E FORMATO

As cenas e as personagens deverão ser criações próprias e inéditas. Os trabalhos poderão ser produzidos em preto e branco ou em cores. As obras deverão ter a extensão de uma única página, que não poderá ultrapassar o tamanho de 800 x 600 pixels, com uma resolução mínima de 72 pixels por polegada.

3. IDIOMAS

Os trabalhos podem ser legendados em espanhol ou francês. Serão admitidas as inscrições de cenas de humor sem palavras por parte dos artistas de outros âmbitos linguísticos.

4. INSCRIÇÕES

Os competidores deverão se registrar ou se identificar no site e inserir seu trabalho no formato JPG no campo previsto para esta finalidade.

5. LOCAL E DATA-LIMITE DE INSCRIÇÃO

Os trabalhos devem ser enviados exclusivamente através do site até 12 de outubro de 2012.

6. EXPOSIÇÃO VIRTUAL

Com os trabalhos inscritos e posteriormente selecionados pelo júri, a editora pretende realizar uma divulgação pública das obras. A exposição das obras não concederá direitos pecuniários aos autores das ilustrações.

7. PRÊMIOS

O concurso conta com seis prêmios:

Para adultos: 1º prêmio: 500 euros. Será descontado o imposto de renda antes de proceder ao pagamento. 2º prêmio: três histórias em quadrinhos. 3º prêmio: duas histórias em quadrinhos, com diploma.

Para menores de idade (dos 14 aos 17 anos): 1º prêmio: três histórias em quadrinhos, 2º prêmio: duas histórias em quadrinhos, 3º prêmio: uma história em quadrinhos do catálogo da editora, com um diploma.

8. JÚRI

Um júri qualificado irá selecionar os melhores trabalhos. Os prêmios serão anunciados no prazo de um mês e meio a partir do encerramento do concurso. Pelo critério do júri, os prêmios poderão ser declarados nulos, sendo sua decisão inapelável.

9. OUTRAS DETERMINAÇÕES

A participação no concurso implica a aceitação dessas bases.

II. SELECTIVE CARTOON CONTEST

1.) I am a selective man!

Theme: promoting selective waste collection.

We can help save our planet for the next generation by selectively collect used and unneeded, but still

recycleable materials. Although selective waste collection is not a problem any more, it still has not become an integral part of our everyday life. Let’s use the humour of cartoons to show some of the absurdities and contradictions of our lives and let’s have a good laugh at our own peccadillos. Humour may help us and our children better understand our planet’s needs.

2.) The contest is open, so we accept works of both amateurs and professionals from all around the globe.
3.) Deadline for entries: 28. February, 2012.
4.) The entries will be judged by a professional jury. The jury’s decision is not negotiable.
5.) We aim to organise an exhibition tour in primary, secondary schools and colleges in Hungary, where we would like to point out the imprtance of selective waste collection to the young. The first exhibition is scheduled in Baja in March 2012.
6.) It folows from 5.) that the submitted cartoons will not be returned!
7.)  Participants can submit up to three original cartoons in A/4 or A/3 size, using any technique. Prints of cartoons produced or coloured with software can also be submitted on condition that it has the cartoonist’s original signature and the print’s serial number.
8.) The participants should write their name, address, phone number and e-mail address on the back of the cartoons.

INTERNATIONAL CARTOON COMPETITION “THE BALL IS IN PLAY” - Museum of Caricature and Cartoon Art Warsaw

TOPIC:
The topic of the International Cartoon Competition “The Ball is in Play” is football. The Competition is organised to mark the UEFA European Football Championship – Euro 2012, held in Poland and Ukraine. The competition is open to all artists working with caricature, cartoon, satirical drawing, as well as to students of fine arts schools – institutions of higher artistic education.

PRIZES:
Grand Prix – 10, 000 PLN
1st prize – 7, 000 PLN
2nd prize – 5,000 PLN
3rd prize – 3,000 PLN
and the prize for the best work by a participant under the age of 30 - 2,000 PLN*
Apart from Regular Prizes, special awards may be funded by other institutions
and by sponsors.
* Tax will be deduced from the prizes in accordance with the Polish tax law.
