AN ONLINE TRIBUTE TO THE 10TH ANNIVERSARY OF SEPTEMBER 11
UN HOMENAJE VIRTUAL AL 10mo. ANIVERSARIO DEL 11 DE SEPTIEMBRE

RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. All cartoonists, professional or not, are invited to take part in the online tribute, regardless of nationality or country of residence.
2. Participants will submit ONLY ONE CARTOON as a tribute to the 10th Anniversary of the September 11th, 2001 attacks, in jpg format with a 300 dpi resolution, using any technique, color or combination of colors.
3. The participating cartoons could not have been previously published or have won awards in any contest or event.
4. The deadline to submit works is Sunday August 28, 2011.
5. Participating cartoons will be emailed to the Festival official address.
6. The Jury will be made up by five internationally recognized cartoonists and their decisions cannot be appealed. The Jury will choose the cartoons that will make up the Online Salon, the Awards and Honorable Mentions.
7. Each participant will fill out an Entry Form with his/her name, home and electronic addresses, phone number and country of residence. Each participant will also submit a brief resume.
8. The submission of the Entry Form implies that the participant accepts these Rules and Regulations, turns over all rights of his/her cartoon to BOSTOONS and authorizes the Salon organizers to publish it on the media and/or the Internet. The acceptance of these Rules and Regulations also conveys the turnover of the aforementioned rights to third parties without limitations. BOSTOONS has the right to exhibit, archive and publish the cartoon on the media and/or the Internet without limitations.
9. BOSTOONS reserves the right not to exhibit cartoons that may attempt against individual and/or collective rights.
10. Participation in this contest supposes the acceptance of these Rules and Regulations without reservations.
11. The Online Salon will open on Sunday, September 11, 2011, at 8:30 am, Eastern Standard Time of the United States, at this address (http://bostoonsfestival.com/)

BASES
1. Todos los caricaturistas, profesionales o no, están invitados a participar en el homenaje, sin importar nacionalidad o lugar de residencia.
2. Los participantes enviarán SOLAMENTE UN DIBUJO como homenaje al 10mo. Aniversario de los ataques del 11 de Septiembre de 2001, en cualquier técnica, color o combinación de colores y en formato jpg, a una resolución de 300 dpi.
3. Los trabajos serán inéditos, no podrán haberse publicado en ningún medio ni haber ganado premio en ningún evento o concurso con anterioridad.
4. Los trabajos se admitirán hasta el domingo 28 de agosto de 2011.
5. Los trabajos serán enviados por correo electrónico a la dirección oficial del Festival.
6. El jurado estará integrado por cinco caricaturistas de reconocida trayectoria internacional y sus decisiones serán inapelables. El Jurado escogerá los dibujos que se expondrán en el Salón Virtual, los Premios y las Menciones de Honor.
7. Cada participante llenará una Ficha de Inscripción, en la que incluirá nombre, dirección postal y electrónica, número telefónico y país de residencia, además de un resumen de su currículo.
8. El envío de la Ficha de Inscripción significa que el participante acepta las condiciones de esta convocatoria, delega todos los derechos del trabajo enviado a BOSTOONS y autoriza a los organizadores del Salón a publicarlo en medios impresos y electrónicos. La aceptación de las condiciones de la convocatoria incluye, además, el traspaso de los derechos del trabajo a terceros sin limitaciones. BOSTOONS tiene e derecho de exponer, archivar y publicar dicho trabajo en la Internet u otros medios de publicación no mencionados aquí sin limitaciones de ningún tipo.
9. BOSTOONS se reserva el derecho de no exhibir trabajos que puedan atentar contra derechos individuales y/o colectivos.
10. La participación en el concurso supone la aceptación sin reservas de estas condiciones.

Regulations

The Second Master Cup International Illustration Biennial, CHINA Rp.

Thanks to the artists all over the world, the First Master Cup International Cartoon and Illustration Biennial had been held successful in 2007. It was a big pity we could not continue the Biennial in 2009 because of some obstacles beyond the exception.This year we restart the Biennial with the great support from the institutes and gallery of Beijing which are in the list as below. The Biennial aimed to spread the art of illustration, cartoon, printmaking and painting more and more globally. And we believe the art has the great power to touch our soul, increase the culture and to make the development of the real world.
The name of the Biennial changed into the Master Cup International Illustration Biennial as the reason of the opinion – cartoon is a kind of humorous illustration of life.

1. Participation
The contest is open to all artist--Illustrator, Cartoonist, Printmaker and Painter around world regardless of nationality, age, sex, etc.

3. Entries
1) No entry fee.
2) The works whether they have been awarded in other contests and exhibitions previously will be accepted.
3) Artist should summit the original works. Any computer prints, slide, photograph, xerox will not be accepted.
4) The maximum seven entries should be submitted for each category.
5) The maximum size of the works should be 350 x 500 mm(13.78 x 19.69 inch) respectively.
6) Author's resume and photo should be submitted with entries together.
7) First name, Last name, Address, Email, Telephone number and category should be written on the reverse side of the works.
8) There are unlimited technique and medium of works, any painting, print making (cover any printmaking except digital graphics) and mixed art will be acceptted, works finished by computer or xerox will not be considered.

7. Judgment
1) The jury will cover the well known panting and printmaking artist, cartoonist, illustrator and critics.

1) The winning works will not be returned, Non winning works can be returned by request in due form and participators should cover the charge of return and package.

Entries to the Biennale must be original and still not evaluated in any international competition. Any apparent plagiarisms will be disqualified from the competition.
Applications: Works are to be sent exclusively by using the entry forms located at www.cartoon-pisek.cz.
By submitting drawings, the Biennale participant consents to these particulars of the competition and to the rules laid down by the Competition Statute (located on the competition‘s website). Contestants agree, among other things, that the drawings may be used to promote the Biennale.

Jury: The jury holds members of the organizers as well as Czech and foreign cartoonists and professionals.
It is the exclusive right of the jury to choose the works to be entered into the competition, to choose a collection for exhibition and for the catalogue, and to award the prizes.

Financial awards are paid to the authors in EUR in the amount before taxes and subject to taxation under applicable laws.
Th e exhibition and catalogue: Th e exhibition will be launched at the ceremonial announcement of the results on September 21, 2011 and will last until October 26, 2011 in the Sladovna Písek o.p.s. (Malthouse), Velké náměstí 113, 39701 Písek, Czech Republic.
