III BIENAL INTERNACIONAL DE HUMOR GRÁFICO JOSÉ L. MARTIN MENA “MENA”

La Excma. Diputación de Toledo y el Excmo. Ayuntamiento de El Toboso convoca el presente concurso, con arreglo a las siguientes

BASES:

1. Podrán concursar todos los humoristas gráficos profesionales de cualquier Nación.

2. Se admitirá solamente una obra por participante, que necesariamente no habrá sido presentada a otro certamen.

3. Temática relacionada con “Dulcinea” personaje femenino de la obra literaria “El Quijote”, escrita por Miguel de Cervantes.

4. Las obras, deberán ser originales y realizadas en cualquier técnica pictórica, tendrán un formato único de 30 x 40 cms., sin marco y comprendido su eventual “passe partout”. No se admitirán fotocopias, copias digitales, grabados, ni fotografías de los dibujos.

5. Los premios establecidos son: 1er. Premio: 1.000 € Mención de Honor

6. El plazo de recepción de las obras será hasta el día 13 de junio de 2009 a las 14 horas. Fuera de dicho plazo no se admitirá obra alguna.

7. Las obras se presentarán, haciendo constar el nombre del autor, así como el resto de datos personales, tales como: dirección, teléfono, fotografía, e-mail y un breve currículo.

9. El fallo del jurado, que será inapelable, se hará público el 20 de junio de 2009. Los premios podrán ser declarados desiertos a juicio del jurado. Este estará compuesto por un miembro de la Comisión Municipal de Cultura, el Director del Museo de Humor y destacados profesionales.

10. Las obras seleccionadas serán expuestas desde el 21 de junio hasta el 1 de septiembre de 2009 en las dependencias que acuerde el Ayuntamiento de El Toboso.

11. Las obras premiadas quedarán en propiedad del Ayuntamiento de El Toboso. Los autores de las mismas se comprometen a ceder al mismo los derechos de explotación de la obra en su modalidad de reproducción, comunicación pública y distribución.
12. Las obras no premiadas serán devueltas a sus autores, siempre que en el envío se haga constar expresamente, si bien quedan excluidos los trabajos que no se ajusten a las bases.

13. La entrega de premios será programada por el Excmo. Ayuntamiento de El Toboso y se efectuará en acto público.
14. El hecho de concursar supone la plena aceptación de estas bases.

Competição Internacional de Desenhos "Visita ao Dentista" RÚSSIA

Prazo Final: 12 de Março de 2009

O objetivo do projeto é apresentar uma oportunidade para os profissionais da área de odontologia olharem sua profissão a partir do ponto de vista dos caricaturistas. A dor de dente, por assim dizer, tem sido um tema amplamente explorado na literatura, apenas para mencionar As histórias curtas de Chehov como "Chirurgia" ( "Cirurgia"), "A família Loshadinaia" (Cavalo como sobrenome), e o poema de R. Burns: "Memórias de uma dor de dente". Quase todos os artistas flamengos já tiveram uma pintura dedicada ao tema "extração de um dente". Wilhelm Bush, o fundador da moderna história em quadrinhos também utilizou o tema “dentista” em seu trabalho. Por que o dentista inspira tanta criatividade?
A odontologia se desenvolve e melhora constantemente. As recentes inovações em tecnologias e métodos de tratamentos odontológicos tem mudado drasticamente nos últimos 20 anos. Estamos muito interessados em ver o ponto de vista dos caricaturistas, e curiosos para saber se os recentes avanços na ciência odontológica estão sendo refletidos no trabalho dos artistas modernos e caricaturistas. São as razões para a sorrisos e gargalhadas as mesmas de centenas de anos atrás?
Estamos confiantes de que os produtos e idéias criativas apresentadas durante esta exposição serão muito úteis para os nossos pacientes, porque sorrisos e gargalhadas são os melhores anestésicos antes de uma visita ao dentista. MÉTODO: Criação de uma exposição para apresentar o potencial criativo dos artistas e caricaturistas da Rússia e de outros países. FORMA: Organização internacional de competições e exposições de desenhos durante o trabalho de profissionais dentários e conferências. Haverá o reconhecimento dos mais talentosos trabalhos e a edição de catálogos. Normas e regulamentos
O júri do concurso deverá aceitar e considerar trabalhos apresentados na categoria caricatura.
Os trabalhos para o concurso devem ser apresentados até 12 de março de 2009.
A competição internacional de desenhos terá lugar no seguinte endereço:

A exposição terá lugar no Pavilhão "LenExpo" durante os trabalhos da XII Conferencia Internacional de estomatologia e "Estomatologia 2009". A exposição será em São Petersburgo de 12 de maio de 2009 até 14 de maio de 2009.
Conferência de imprensa e apresentação do catálogo da exposição. 32 participantes, reconhecidos pelo júri do concurso e pela escolha do espectador vão receber prémios e recompensas.
Primeiro lugar - um prêmio - 30000 rubles, e o principal prêmio - MARBLE dente de siso.
Segundo lugar - 2 prêmios - 15000 rubles.
Terceiro lugar - 3 prêmios - 10000 rubles.
Os outros 26 participantes selecionados receberão diplomas.
7. FORMULÁRIO DE APRESENTAÇÃO: cartão personalizado de formato 10 x 15 cm (livro ou versão álbum), apenas 5 cartões podem ser apresentados à competição por um único participante. Os participantes podem apresentar seus cartões personalizados para a competição em formato eletrônico (resolução TIFF, JPG com 300 pixels / pol).
8. Durante a fase preliminar da competição, 96 itens (cartões personalizados) serão selecionados, cada um deles será incluído no catálogo da exposição. O comitê organizador da competição cada irá informar com antecedência a cada participante sobre a necessidade de apresentar itens originais (cartões personalizados) para a concorrência em um formato exigido.
9. Os itens apresentados para o concurso não serão devolvidos e poderão ser utilizados pela comissão organizadora se considerarem convenientes. 10. A participação no concurso implica na aceitação das regras e regulamentos acima. 11. Boa sorte a todos!

1. O Concurso é aberto a todos os desenhistas profissionais e amadores.

3. Todas as obras originais deverão ser assinadas pelo artista e proprietário do trabalho. Eles não deverão ter sido premiados antes. Qualquer técnica é aceitável.

5. Cada artista poderá apresentar até 5 obras para cada categoria, mas não mais que 2 obras podem ser selecionados para a exposição.
6. Nome do artista, título, ano da criação, a técnica, tipo e categoria deverá ser impresso no verso de cada obra. Cada trabalho deverá ser acompanhado por um formulário preenchido em letra de imprensa em búlgaro ou Inglês.
7. Salvo indicações contrárias, todos os trabalhos enviados serão considerados doações para a “Coleção de Humor dos Povos” que fica na “Casa de Humor e Sátira”, por isso, artistas são convidados a preencher e assinar um Certificado de Doação juntamente com o formulário. Os organizadores agradecem muito por estas doações que irão melhorar significativamente as coleções internacionais a serem usufruídas por todos. Os nomes dos doadores serão listados na página inicial da “Casa de Humor e Sátira” e as obras doadas serão mostradas em futuras exposições tanto na Bulgária quanto no exterior.
8. Artistas que não puderem doar seu trabalho e indicarem explicitamente A SER DEVOLVIDO no formulário de entrada, deverá depositar até 30 de setembro de 2009 os seguintes montantes que cobrem o retorno das embalagens e os selos de encargos:
- Caricaturas, gráficos, desenhos, cartazes e fotografias - 20 euros
- Pinturas - 80 euros
- Esculturas - 130 euros
Os artistas terão suas obras devolvidas até 31 de dezembro de 2009.
Obras das quais os encargos financeiros não forem enviados até 30 de setembro de 2009 e que não forem reclamados pelos artistas até 31 de dezembro de 2009 serão registrados na “Coleção de Humor dos Povos”.

11. Artistas devem cobrir os custos de transporte. Os organizadores não irão recolher pacotes enviados a outros destinos.
12. O Museu “Casa de Humor e Sátira” garante a segurança das obras a partir da data de recepção até a data de retorno. Nenhuma responsabilidade é assumida por perdas ou danos durante o transporte.
13. A CASA Museu de humor e sátira se reserva o direito de reproduzir as obras em exibição e tê-los em suas publicações impressas e outros materiais publicitários.
14. O Museu “Casa de Humor e Sátira” publica um catálogo das obras selecionadas para exposição. Apenas artistas com trabalhos selecionados têm direito a uma cópia gratuita. O catálogo está disponível na loja do museu e todos os outros artistas pode tê-lo por 50 euros (despesa de postagem incluída).
15. As condições de entrada são contratualmente obrigatórias. Ao enviar as obras para a Bienal de Exposições, os artistas devem estar cientes e concordar com os termos deste contrato. Todos os candidatos são gentilmente convidados a visitar GABROVO em 16 de maio de 2009 para assistir as cerimônias de abertura e premiação da 19ª Bienal Internacional de Humor e Sátira nas Artes, bem como desfrutar do carnaval da cidade.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Hungary and the Hungarian Culture Foundation organise the
13th Hungarian Cartoon Festival between 8 April – 10 May, 2009 in the Exhibition Hall of the Hungarian Culture Foundation, Budapest.
The title and the theme of the Festival is „In the European Union since 2004”
We invite cartoonists from those 9 countries (Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia) that joined the European Union together with Hungary in 2004.
A Special Prize (HUF 500.000) is awarded to the best entry submitted by cartoonists from the 9 countries that joined the EU together with Hungary in 2004

3. The Special Prize (500.000 HUF) is offered jointly by the European Commission Representation in Hungary and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and will be awarded to the best entry submitted by cartoonists from the 9 countries that joined the EU in 2004. Besides the
Special Prize, the best cartoon submitted by Hungarian participants will be awarded the 1st prize (500.000 HUF).
4. The applicant grants the organisers the non-exclusive right to exhibit and publish (in the catalogue and on the Internet) his-her entry(ies) within the context of the 13th Hungarian Cartoon Festival without payment to the artists.
5. Last deadline: 18 March 2009. The exhibition is between 8 April – 10 May 2009 in the building of the Hungarian Culture Foundation in the Buda Castle, at Budapest.
6. The jury decides which cartoons will be exhibited.
7. If requested , the entry (ies) of the applicants will be returned by the organisers after January 31st 2010. The entries can be received either personally at the Hungarian Culture Foundation headquartres (1014 Budapest, Szentháromság tér 6.) or by post, if sufficient postage charges are provided by the applicant.

4TH INTERNATIONAL CONTEST FOR A CARTOON ABOUT LODZ – THE BIG BOAT OF HUMOUR

In Polish, the word ŁÓDŹ means a vehicle propelled by sails, oars or engine, used as a means of water transport. Almost all around the world, it carries symbolic connotations: it is an allegory of human fate in both individual and collective dimension, it is associated with courage, when imagining sailors embarking on a voyage across rough oceans, it symbolizes human longing for adventure and some change in life. Łódź is also the name of the second largest city in Poland which is an inland city with no access to navigable waters. We hope that the name of our metropolis will become an inspiration for graphic artists, especially those with a flair for satire. The theme should be taken up with humour, with panache and perhaps with a bit of poetry... This explanation, indispensable to foreigners, is also aimed at the Poles, for whom the popular usage of the name of the city might have blurred the sharpness of its paradox. For the fourth time, the Big Boat of Humour invites all the drawers who would like to face the theme of Lodz, but also – a theme of the city, the technical organization that requires constant reconstruction and renovation. The renovation process often causes frustration among citizens, triggers nostalgic feelings towards the ‘old’, more ‘friendly’ shape of the city but at the same time – gives hope for the ideal city of the future.

CITY IN RECONSTRUCTION

How does this year’s theme influence the imagination of artists? We hope to see the results in the contest’s exhibition.

RULES

1. The aim of the contest is:- creating an art gallery comprising works that could be used in actions promoting the city in a printed form or in the form of organized exhibitions. - promoting the city, changing the traditional perception of Łódź and challenging the stereotypical image of the city.

2. It is an open contest. Everyone can participate in it, on condition that they submit their works with the application form before the regulatory deadline. The contest is an international event.

3. The theme of this year’s Big Boat of Humour contest is ‘City in reconstruction’ and also, traditionally – ‘Łódź’.

4. The original works entered in the contest can be made using any drawing, graphic (including computer graphics) or painting technique and should not be larger than A3 format (297x420 mm). Accepted by the Jury as original graphic works are the copies of author’s edition described and signed by the author. Photocopies and xerox copies of the works, computer printouts of scanned works or any other kind of duplication using multicopy techniques, for example offset printing, which serve as reproductions of a work, shall not be accepted by the Jury. Previously published works, works entered in other contests or works to which rights do not belong to the authors shall also be excluded from the contest.

5. Each participant may submit up to 5 works. The works should be unframed, provided with the name and the surname of the author and possibly the title on the reverse. The works should be accompanied with an application form, which shall be tantamount to the acceptation of the contest regulations and a permission for publishing author’s personal data contained in the form, and with a CD with the electronic form of submitted works (in TIFF format, the resolution of 300 dpi, 15 cm at the base), which is the condition of placing them in the catalogue.

6. The works should be sent to the address of Łódzki Dom Kultury (Łódź Cultural Centre), ul. Traugutta 18, 90-113 Łódź, Poland till 30 April 2009 (with a note on an envelope \"The Big Boat of Humour 2009\").

7. The organizers are not liable for any damage to the works during delivery. The works shall be insured since the moment they are received by the organizers, during the exhibition and until their return to the authors.

8. The Jury shall choose works for the post-contest exhibition and hand out the Grand Prix of the contest in May 2009.

9. The ceremonial opening of the post-contest exhibition and the verdict announcement shall take place on May 2009 during th celebrations of the City of Łódź.

10. The authors of works admitted to the contest shall be invited to the ceremonial opening of the exhibition and shall receive the catalogue. The organizers do not provide the return of expenses covering transport to Łódź and stay in the city. The organizers anticipate the exhibition of the original works admitted to the contest in the building of Łódzki Dom Kultury (Łódź Cultural Centre) and the exhibition of printouts (on the basis of the submitted CDs) in Piotrkowska Street in the centre of the city.

11. The works that shall not be admitted to the contest as well as the works shown on the exhibition should be taken back from the organizers or they shall be sent back at the author’s expense.

AWARDS

1. The works shall be judged by the Jury of the Contest consisting of professional artists, the representatives of the City of Łódź Office and the Organizers of the contest.

2. The Jury shall hand out the regulatory Grand Prix of the contest amounting to PLN 10,000, funded by the Mayor of the City of Łódź. The prize is indivisible. The Jury reserves the right to resign from handing out the award. In such case, the amount is added to the pool of prizes of the next edition of the contest. The decisions of the Jury are definitive without the right to appeal. The work (or works of one author) honoured with the prize, together with all the rights, become the property of the sponsor.

3. The organizers allow for a possibility of handing out sponsored awards other than the regulatory prize. Works awarded by the sponsors, with all the rights, shall become the property of the sponsors.

FINAL PROVISIONS

1. Sending works to the contest together with a filled in application form equals giving consent to: - participation in the post-contest exhibition (or a series of exhibitions), unpaid reproducing the works in all media and all techniques as far as promoting the City, the Contest and the exhibition is concerned. - duplicating the works for the needs of non-commercial promotional actions carried out by the organizers (occasional publications, press materials and the Internet), at the same time, promoting the authors and their works. - using the works in charity actions, carried out for the citizens in need by the Organizers, Sponsors or the City of Łódź during the period of one year starting from the date of the post-contest exhibition opening.

2. Participation in the contest means the acceptation of the above regulations.

Coxias de Caxias is a kind of comics showroom in Caxias do Sul, the second largest city in Rio Grande do Sul, in southern Brazil.
For the next editions, we are already going to show stuff form 85 different Brazilian comics artists.
As 'Coxias' got excellent answers from many publishing houses and artists, Marko is already organizing the same event (specially un the EXPOSITION part) to be shown in at least 7 cities in Brazil. 4 comics festivals in 4 different countries have already been contacted, and probably the expo will be shown very far away from the place it began.
The intent is to present different possibilities of comics as a medium.
We are already receiving material that features artists from 41 different countries.
That includes albums, collective magazines like The Comics Journal, IJOCA, Strapazin, Zoo, Stripburger, comic books and books about comics signed by authors like Bob Andelman, Craig Yoe and Guglielmo Nigro.
We consider that this is the best way to popularize our medium: putting people in direct contact with good modern comics. Unhappily, the greatest part of Brazilians know only mainstream comics.We are pleased to say that we are going to awe everyone with marvelous stuff that comes from 'unsuspected' places like Slovenia, Romania, Chile and Uruguay.
Consider that Miriam Katin, Rutu Modan and Shaun Tan come form 'unsuspected' places, too, and you will notice that, yes, wonderful comics are being produced in the whole world.
We are asking for anyone to send us any kind of PUBLISHED comics to be presented at the Coxias de Caxias. We won't only expose hentais or similar stuff. The Canadian Committee for World Press Freedom 9th International Editorial Cartoon Competition
1. The theme for the 9th International Editorial Cartoon Competition is: “Protecting privacy?”In the name of national security, governments increasingly encroach on the privacy rights of citizens. At the same time, the privacy of citizens is often invoked by governments and law enforcement bodies as a justification for denying the release of information that should be made public. The privacy of personal information and communication is a key pillar of our individual rights and freedoms - but "protecting privacy" is a concept that is widely abused to hide critical information the powerful do not want the public to see.
2. Prizes: Three prizes will be given: a first prize of $1500, a crystal trophy, plus a Certificate from Canadian UNESCO, a second prize of $750 plus a certificate, and a third of $500 and certificate. All sums are in Canadian dollars. Ten additional cartoons will receive an ‘Award of Excellence.’ Regrettably no financial remuneration accompanies the Awards of Excellence.
3. Only one cartoon will be accepted from each cartoonist. It may be either in color or black and white and may be an original or a print. It must not have won an award and will not be returned.
4. The size of the cartoon should not exceed A4; 21 by 29.2 cm; or 8.50 by 11 inches.
5. The cartoonist’s name, address, telephone number, fax number and e-mail address (if available) must be on the reverse side of each cartoon or in the e-mail to which the cartoon is attached. A short biography of the Cartoonist should be provided.
6. The Canadian Committee for World Press Freedom shall have the rights to use any of the cartoons entered in the Competition for promotion of our World Press Freedom Day Luncheon May 5th, 2009. Entrance by the cartoonist in this Cartoon competition is deemed acceptance of this condition.
7. The winners of the Cartoon Competition will be announced at the World Press Freedom Day Luncheon held at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa, Canada on Friday, May 5th, 2009 as well as being advised by mail/fax or e-mail. The winning names and their cartoons will be posted on the CCWPF web site: http://www.ccwpf-cclpm.ca/
8. The best 30 cartoons will be exhibited at Luncheon.The deadline for receipt of Cartoons is 5 p.m. Tuesday, 27 March, 2009.

IV Health and Graphic Humor Contest, on Eating Behavior Disorders - Humorália 2009

RULES
1.Any professional or amateur artist can participate in this competition.
2.The topic of this contest will be on Eating Behavior Disorders
3.The participants may submit up to three (3) items to the contest, with the provision that these images have not previously recieved awards in other contests
4. The works (only drawings) can be any graphic technique in single A-4 (210 mm x 297 mm) format or proportional size, in Catalan, Spanish or English.
5. All works must be submitted only via e-mail, to info@humorisalutlleida.cat, after being scanned at 300 point resolution in JPG (JPEG) format.
6. The submission deadline is March 30, 2009.
7. Works must be accompanied by a file which includes first and last name, address, telephone number and a photograph or caricature of the artist.
8. A prize of 1000€ will be given to the winning application and a second prize
of 500€ will also be awarded. The jury panel of may declare that there is no winner.
9. The decision of the jury panel is not subject to appeal.
10. The composition of the jury panel will be made public after the winner is announced.
11. The decision of the jury panel will be communicated to the winner during the week of April 24th, 2009, by email, and will then be published on the website of Humoràlia (www.humoralia.org) and www.humorisalutlleida.cat
12. The first fifty (50) works selected will be exposed at the University of Lleida Medical School during the second half of May, 2009. furthermore, a

Here we are! We've arrived at the 12th edition with lot of hope.Why, are you asking yourself, keeping in mind about these world crisis period? It's very easy to say it.We think no, in these years our Festival , even if we've had enourmous financial difficulties, succeded in changing itself in the event that in graphic humourism field is the most known and visited.There's no doubt we are the Graphic Humour Number one manifestation that counts the most public affluence.People said in a not so far age "the common dynast" is the one that establishes and marks event's life.We are the only one itinerant event of graphic humour with annual expiry tha in Italy travels through Countries and districts landscapes, in the large townships as in the smallest,free entry always.But take care,a free entrance doesn't constrain to anyone to come in and see the Festival exposition.The public sees it in a spountaneous way,he gladly comes to see it with no external pression,with its best italians and woldwide humouristic pencils works and inventions in a friendly athmosphere.Our mission is just to intermediate between authors and public. The author are in this way enhanced, known, admired as they're always faithful to our reality.Our exposition come to visit 6/8 townships every year on the average and many of them keep on touring the following year.We also gave permission that many exposition of ours could take place outside of Italy too.We have been exposing timeless and expiryless , always available and current starting from the first edition topic for 12 years, live graphic humour, nice and sarcastic at the same time, in which the author's works never lose their glaze and expiration.Contrariwise it seems that the the paintings are getting younger and younger year after year.We always try to organize a human dimension manifestation,always searching a lost smile we'd like to come back forever and ever in everyone's lips, and all of this thanks to the authors and the public,you!!!

E si! siamo arrivati alle 12°. Edizione con molta speranza. Perché ,vi domanderete, tenuto conto di questi tempi di crisi mondiale?.E’ molto presto a dirlo. Pensiamo di no, in questi anni il nostro Festival, pur con molte grossissime difficoltà di finanziamenti, è riuscito a trasformarsi nell’evento che nel settore dell’umorismo grafico è in Italia quello più noto e visitato. Senza altro siamo la manifestazione No.1 di humour grafico che conta la maggiore presenza di pubblico. Si diceva in una epoca non lontana (?) " …è il popolo sovrano" che stabilisce e segna la vita degli eventi. Siamo l’unico evento itinerante di humour grafico con scadenza annuale che in Italia viaggia sui territorio delle Regioni e Provincie,presente in grandi e piccoli Comuni ,sempre a ingresso libero. Ma attenzione,un ingresso libero,non significa obbligazione di entrare a vedere la mostra del Festival. Il pubblico lo fa in forma spontanea, viene volentieri senza pressioni esterne a vedere questa mostra, con le opere e invenzioni delle migliori matite umoristiche d’Italia e del mondo in forma serena e partecipativa. Il nostro "compito" è solo quella di fare d’intermediazione tra gli autori e il pubblico spettatore. Qui gli autori sono valorizzati,conosciuti,ammirati, valorati e seguiti,perche sono fedeli sempre alla nostra realtà. Le nostre mostre visitano una media di 6/8 Comuni all’anno. Molte riprendono l’anno seguente. Abbiamo permesso che molte nostre mostre, si potessero esibire all’estero. Mettiamo in mostra da 12 anni humour senza tempo e scadenze,sempre valide e attuale fin dalla tematica della prima edizione,humour grafico "dal vivo",elegante e sarcastico allo stesso tempo, dove le opere degli autori non perdono mai lo smalto e la loro validità. Al contrario, con gli anni sembra che i disegni si ringiovaniscano. Cerchiamo sempre di fare una manifestazione a dimensione umana,sempre alla ricerca di un sorriso perduto che vogliamo ritorni per sempre tra la gente, e tutto questo grazie agli autori e il pubblico.

A PREFEITURA DE PORTO ALEGRE, através da Secretaria Municipal da Cultura, comunica aos interessados, o regulamento e cronograma referente ao concurso 17° SALÃO INTERNACIONAL DE DESENHO PARA IMPRENSA, conforme abaixo:
O presente regulamento visa selecionar artistas para o 17º SALÃO INTERNACIONAL DE DESENHO PARA IMPRENSA que ocorrerá de 19 de março a 26 abril de 2009, visando estimular e divulgar, de forma abrangente, a expressão gráfica aplicada à imprensa, além de atribuir premiações a cada uma das categorias descritas abaixo.
DAS INSCRIÇÕES
As inscrições podem ser efetuadas de 25 de fevereiro à 06 de março de 2009, na Av. Presidente João Goulart, 551, Sala 603 -Setor de Mostras e Exposições, CEP 90010-120 -Porto Alegre/RS, de segunda a sexta das 10 às 12h e das 14 às 17h ou via e-mail salao.press.portoalegre@gmail.com.
Para os trabalhos enviados pelo correio e via e-mail, o último dia de recebimento também será o dia 06 de março, valendo a data do carimbo postal no envelope e data de envio do e-mail.
Não serão aceitos trabalhos selecionados ou premiados em Edições anteriores deste Salão.
Artistas premiados em salões anteriores não podem se inscrever na mesma categoria.
DOS PARTICIPANTES
O concurso destina-se a profissionais e amadores, nas modalidades Cartum, Charge, Caricatura, História em Quadrinhos e Ilustração Editorial (para jornal, revista, livro, capa de disco, cartaz, etc.).
Os trabalhos inscritos na modalidade Ilustração Editorial devem ter sido efetivamente publicados no período de março de 2008 a janeiro de 2009 , e devem vir acompanhados da página original da publicação, com data e nome do periódico identificáveis. Os participantes podem concorrer com até 05 (cinco) trabalhos distribuídos em qualquer das 05 (cinco) categorias.
DA APRESENTAÇÃO DOS TRABALHOS
Como se trata de um Salão de artes gráficas, também serão considerados como originais os trabalhos impressos por impressoras de computador ou qualquer outro meio de reprodução de imagens, desde que com boa qualidade. No entanto, fica a critério dos participantes o envio de seus originais.
Os trabalhos inscritos devem ter o formato máximo de 42cm x 29,7cm (A3). Os trabalhos inscritos na modalidade História em Quadrinhos podem ter até quatro (04) páginas de até 42cm x 29,7cm (A3).
Os trabalhos deverão estar acondicionados em papel opaco e resistente. A Comissão Organizadora não se responsabiliza pelos trabalhos que chegarem danificados e/ou não identificados. Os participantes deverão observar rigorosamente as seguintes instruções:
-Enviar, com os trabalhos, a ficha de inscrição que acompanha este regulamento, com todos os itens preenchidos de forma legível.
-Todos os originais devem estar devidamente identificados com nome completo do autor e modalidade de inscrição no verso.
O não cumprimento dessas instruções implicará na desclassificação sumária dos trabalhos.
DA SELEÇÃO
A Prefeitura Municipal de Porto Alegre designará, através de Portaria publicada no Diário Oficial de Porto Alegre -DOPA, uma Comissão de Seleção e outra de Premiação, formadas por cartunistas, jornalistas, artistas gráficos, artistas plásticos e representantes da Secretaria Municipal da Cultura.
A Comissão de Seleção terá como critérios principais a criatividade, ineditismo e qualidade plástica dos desenhos e os selecionará obedecendo a seguinte finalidade:
-Todos os trabalhos selecionados participarão da exposição do Salão no Espaço Vasco Prado na Usina do Gasômetro, Av. Pres. João Goulart, 551 Porto Alegre/RS, 19 de março a 26 de abril de 2009.
A relação dos trabalhos selecionados estará à disposição a partir do dia 13 de março de 2009.
Relação dos premiados será divulgada por ocasião da solenidade de abertura do Salão. A relação de Selecionados e Premiados será publicada no DOPA (Diário Oficial de Porto Alegre). Da decisão da Comissão Julgadora que inabilitar os trabalhos apresentados, em razão de não apresentação de documentos exigidos ou apresentados em desconformidade com o exigido, caberá recurso administrativo de 05 (cinco) dias úteis, protocolados na Coordenação de Artes Plásticas.
O recurso apresentado será julgado no prazo máximo de 05 (cinco) dias úteis.
DA PREMIAÇÃO
Será atribuído um (01) prêmio aquisição, no valor de R$ 1.000,00 (mil reais) a cada uma das 5 categorias: Cartum, Charge, História em Quadrinhos, Caricatura e Ilustração Editorial. Os critérios norteadores, novamente serão os de criatividade, ineditismo e qualidade plástica dos desenhos.
Poderão ser atribuídas Menções Honrosas, a critério da Comissão de Premiação.
Parágrafo Único: Os trabalhos premiados passarão a fazer parte do Acervo Artístico Municipal.
Os prêmios não reclamados em 90 (noventa) dias a contar da publicação do resultado, perderão a validade
DA DEVOLUÇÃO
Os trabalhos não selecionados estarão disponíveis para devolução de 23 à 31 de março de 2009, no mesmo local e horário das inscrições. A partir desta data não nos responsabilizamos pelos trabalhos não retirados.
NÃO SERÃO FEITAS DEVOLUÇÕES POR CORREIO DE QUAISQUER TRABALHOS PROVENIENTES DE
OUTRAS LOCALIDADES.
DISPOSIÇÕES GERAIS
Os trabalhos selecionados poderão ser utilizados pela Prefeitura Municipal de Porto Alegre, para fins de divulgação do evento, sem quaisquer ônus.
A inscrição, neste concurso, implica na aceitação integral dos termos deste regulamento; Os casos omissos serão resolvidos pela Comissão Organizadora, observada a Lei 8666/93.
As Comissões de Seleção e Premiação serão soberanas em suas decisões. Conforme a Lei 8666/93, Art.9º, os integrantes das Comissões de Seleção e de Premiação, bem como os servidores da Prefeitura Municipal de Porto Alegre, não poderão participar do presente Concurso.
As despesas com as premiações do presente concurso correrão pela dotação orçamentária 2038339031
e/ou 2042-339031.
Os prêmios serão pagos após a publicação do resultado e decorrido o prazo recursal. Os casos omissos serão resolvidos pela comissão organizadora.

The 15th International Ankara Cartoon Festival - Deadline for the competition is February 15th

The 15th International Ankara Cartoon Festival is going to be held from April 17th to 20th, 2009 during the 80th. Children’s Day activities, which are celebrated in our country every year in on the 23rd April .
The international 7-77 Cartoon Competition will be organized under the 15th International Ankara Cartoon Festival. The aim of the competition is to make children familiar with the art of cartooning and to contribute the development of sensitivity towards humour by enriching their world with the help of cartoons you will draw.

All proffessional and amateur cartoonists will be welcomed to join in by drawing cartoons for children.
Cartoons can be drawn in black-white or colourful using any technique in either A4 or A3 size.
Cartoonists can join in the competition with an original cartoon that can be understood by children. Competitors must write their names, surnames and addresses on the back of their cartoons.

The deadline for the competition is February 15th, 2009. Cartoons should be sent to the following address:

The sole prize of the competition is the 7-77 PRIZE ($2,000) and the institutions’ commemorative plates.
The results of the competition will be announced on April 10th, 2009 in the local press and on the web.
The winner of the competition will be invited to Ankara from April 17th to 20th, 2009 as a guest for the activities to be held during the 15th International Ankara Cartoon Festival and will receive the award at the opening of the exhibition.
The International 7-77 Cartoon Competition catalogue and the certificate will be sent to those competitors whose cartoons were chosen by the jury and were printed in the catalogue.
Cartoons will not be sent back and all rights will be reserved by the Cartoon Foundation.
International 7-77 Cartoon Competition exhibition will be opened in various cities of Turkey and abroad.

IV CONCURSO DE HUMOR GRÁFICO “SANTOMERA 2009” - ESPAÑA

The Council of Santomera has organised this competition according to the following:

REGULATIONS:

1. All professional cartoonists or not of any countries may take part in this competition.

2. Each cartoonist can submit 2 originals, being essential that the original works have not been submitted to a previous competition.

3. TOPIC: “Immigration and mutual enrichment”.

4. The works must be original, any painting technique being accepted. Top quality prints of works achieved by digital tools will be considered originals as long as the author sings them, and with the indication that it is Print nº 1.

5. The format of the works will be maximum 30x42 cms without frame.

6. PRIZES:

1st PRIZE: 1000 euro

2nd PRIZE: 700 euro

Two runners-up: 200 euro

Special prize best work Murcia: 200 euro.

7. The works should be received by the organization by March 13th, 2009 at 14:00 hours. No works will be accepted after that limit time.

8. Each of the works for submission must carry an identification label, clearly filled in, including name of cartoonist, as well as address, phone number, photograph, e-mail and a brief curriculum.

10. The decisions of the Jury which will be taken by majority vote and will be final, will be made public on March 26th, 2009. The prize might be considered desiertos on the Jury´s decision.

11. The selected works will be exhibited from 1st to 30 April 2009 in Casagrande, in Santomera.

12. The prizewinning works will not be returned to their authors. They will become property of the Council of Santomera. The awarding of a prize to a specific word will automatically imply the waiving of its author's royalties to the organisation.

13. The works not awarded as winners will be returned to their authors, provided theat this has clearly been by the authors in the identification label. These works will be returned once the Council of Santomera do the exhibitions.

14. It must be made clear that accepting all these regulations is the essential requirement to take part in the competition.
