A competição é designada a reconhecer os melhores cartuns da Austrália e Internacionais com mais de $10,000 no total de prêmios. O Prêmio Rotary de Cartuns é financiado pelo Rotary Clube da Cidade de Coffs Harbour para levantar fundos para várias caridades do Rotary e para promover cartum através da Galeria Bunker de Cartum. Todas as inscrições serão doadas ao Rotary Clube da Cidade de Coffs Harbour para exibições na Galeria Bunker de Cartuns e outras galerias da Austrália. Eles farão parte da Coleção de Cartum de Coffs. Os cartuns podem ser exibidos e reproduzidos em catálogo ou similar, em cartões postais e copiados, sob julgamento do Clube Rotary, em qualquer momento no futuro, para venda através da Galeria Bunker de Cartuns. O Primeiro Lugar e ganhador de Mérito em todas as categorias também receberão um medalhão.

REGRAS & CONDIÇÕES DE INSCRIÇÃO: FAVOR LER COM ATENÇÃO
1. O Prêmio Rotary de Cartum é aberto para qualquer um com mais de 18 anos de idade.
2. Títulos não são permitidos nesta sessão.
3. Identificação do assunto deve aparecer no verso do trabalho, escrito à lapis, no canto superior esquerdo.
4. Todos os cartuns submetidos devem ser claramente rotulados com o nome do artista, endereço, número de telephone e endereço de e-mail escritos no verso do trabalho, à lapis, sob o nome do assunto, no canto superior esquerdo. Isto torna mais fácil a identificação do assunto e artista e não arruina o trabalho para exibição.
5. Não há restrições quanto ao número de inscrições submetidas e inscrições podem ter sido publicadas ou não.
6. Cartuns devem ser originais e podem tanto ser coloridas como preto e branco. Tamanho sugerido para trabalhos inscritos é A4 (210mm x 297mm) mas trabalhos inscritos com tamanho maior também serão aceitos.
7. Por favor não emoldure o trabalho.
8. A Inscrição para o prêmio sera tomada como aceitação das regras e condições de inscrição.
9. Os cartuns podem ser exibidos e reproduzidos em catálogo ou similar, em cartões postais e copiados, sob cuidado do Rotary Clube, em qualquer momento no futuro, para venda através da Galeria Bunker de Cartuns.

The "New technologies" eighth international contest of pictorial humour BARAKALDO 2008

CONDITIONS
The city of BARAKALDO organizes the "New technologies" eighth international contest of pictorial humour.The cartoonists will send a work of illustrated humour in relation with new technologies which have a considerable impact on the day to day life (i.e. INTERNET, BIOLOGY, SPACE, TELECOMMUNICATIONS, MEDICINE, ETC...). The idea is to help citizens to think about the new grounds for scientific progress.
APPLICANTS
The competition is open to everyone, especially with no regard of age. Each applicant can present a maximum of three piece of work. The works of the authors who won the Hermes prize the year before will not be taken in consideration.FORM AND SIZE The scenes and characters will have to be originals and of proper creation. The works can be drawn in black and white or in colour. The works will have a length of one page that will not exceed 800 x 600 pixels, with a minimum resolution of 72 pixels per inch.The authors must not include their name or any other information about themselves on the works. Otherwise, they will be eliminated from the contest.
LANGUAGES Only two languages can be used: spanish or basque. Nonetheless the panel will take into consideration works of pictorial interest without text, proceeding from artists of places where these languages are not used.
PRESENTATION Applicants will send a e-mail with their names, surnames, address, date of birth, passport number, telephone number. They will send this e-mail with the file of the picture in JPG format.
PLACE AND DEADLINE OF THE APPLICATION The piece of work with the reference of the artist will be sent exclusively through e-mail, to the following address: hermesbarakaldo@barakaldo.org before 2008 October 13th.VIRTUAL SHOWING The city contemplates realizing a public diffusion of the works presented and lately selected by the panel. The virtual show of the works received during the contest will not be granted by any type of economic retribution.
AWARDS The "Hermes de Barakaldo" prize amounts to 4.500 euros shared between five winners:1st prize: 1.500 euros.2nd prize: 1.000 euros,3rd prize: 800 euros.4th prize: 700 euros.5th prize: 500 euros.
PANEL A qualified panel of judges will pick out the best works. Prizes will be handed on the first week of December 2008, in Barakaldo. The city leaves to the panel the possibility to declare no winners, according to quality criteria.

II International Festival of Graphic Humor in Granada

During the Festival, the exhibition “Granada – Semana Santa Internacional” wil take place, and a catalogue will be published including a selection of works. This event is supportes by the City Council of Granada, the County Council, and the University of Granada.
1 – The call is open to profesional and amateur graphic humorists and cartoonists from all over the world.
2 – Subject of the 2nd Festival: “Holy Week in Granada” (La Semana Santa de Granada). More information about the subject in the website www.creatorio.com
3 – The participants are permitted to submit to the Festival only 3 works. The format of the works must be A4 horizontal (297mm width x 210mm height). Any technique will be accepted.
Mute cartoons will be preferred. Nevertheless, any language will be accepted if a suitable translation to Spanish or English is included.
4 – The works should be scanned and sent by e-mail in 300 ppp, JPEG format, to granada@martinfavelis.com, accompanied by a portrait or caricature of the author (same resolution and format).
5 -The e-mail must include an entry form containing the following information: Author’s name and family name Artistic name Address, town, country and postal code E-mail address and phone numbers CV mentioning the author’s publications and/or the newspaper, magazine, etc. where they usually publish their works.
6 – The selected works will be showed in an exhibition in “Centro Municipal de Arte Joven Rey Chico”. They may be also showed as a roaming exhibition in other national and international events related to Granada’s Turistic Department. In addition, the works will be shown in the website www.creatorio.com
7 – The selected works will be printed in a catalogue. All authors whose works are selected to appear in the exhibition will receive a copy of the catalogue.
8 - The list of participants, as well as the name of the selected works, will published by the organization in the Festival Website or announced via e-mail. The authors will also be informed about the location of the exhibitions where their works are shown.
9.- Deadline: september 14th, 2008.
10.- The submission of the entry form will automatically imply the waiving of the author’s royalties vis-à-vis the non-commercial reproduction of his/her work by the City Council of Granada. 11 – The participation in the 2nd Festival of Graphic Humor in Granada implies the author fully accepts these regulations.

II Encuentro de Humor Gráfico en Granada 2008

En el marco de este II Encuentro, se organizará la exposición “Granada - Semana Santa Internacional” y se editará un catálogo con las obras seleccionadas. Este Encuentro Internacional cuenta con el apoyo del Ayuntamiento de Granada, la Diputación de Granada y la Universidad de Granada.
1 – La convocatoria está abierta a dibujantes y humoristas gráficos profesionales y aficionados de todo el mundo.
2 – El tema del II Encuentro es “La Semana Santa de Granada”. Para obtener más información sobre el tema se puede visitar la página www.creatorio.com
3 – Los participantes podrán enviar 3 obras como máximo. Las obras podrán ser realizadas utilizando cualquier técnica. Tamaño A4 apaisado (297 mm ancho x 210 mm alto).
Aunque se recomienda enviar viñetas mudas, se aceptarán textos en cualquier idioma siempre que se adjunte su traducción al español o al inglés.
4 – Las obras deberán enviarse a 300 ppp, en formato JPG, por correo electrónico a
granada@martinfavelis.com. En iguales condiciones, una fotografía o caricatura del autor.
5- El envío tendrá que incluir (en archivo de WORD adjunto) los siguientes datos:
Nombre y apellidos del autor.
Nombre con que firma las viñetas.
Dirección postal completa.
Dirección de correo electrónico y teléfonos.
Breve currículum en el que se indiquen los medios en los que trabaja habitualmente.
6 – Con una selección de las obras recibidas se realizará, dentro de la programación del II Encuentro, la exposición “Granada - Semana Santa Internacional”, en el Centro Municipal de Arte Joven Rey Chico. Igualmente, la exposición podrá mostrarse de forma itinerante en otros actos o eventos nacionales o internacionales relacionados con el turismo en los que participe el Ayuntamiento de Granada.

7. Con las obras seleccionadas se realizará un catálogo recopilatorio. Todos los autores cuya obra se incluya en el catálogo recibirán un ejemplar del mismo.
8.- La organización comunicará, a través de la página web del Encuentro, o mediante correo electrónico, la relación de participantes con obra recibida y la lista de las seleccionadas para la exposición y el catálogo.
9.- El plazo de recepción de obras finaliza el día 14 de septiembre de 2008.
10.- El envío de la obra implica que el autor/a autoriza al Ayuntamiento de Granada la reproducción y difusión, (edición de catálogos, carteles, trípticos, difusión en prensa, página web, etc.), sin que se genere por ello obligación de ningún tipo ante el autor/a
11 – La participación en esta convocatoria al II Encuentro supone la aceptación íntegra de estas bases. Las dudas que pudieran surgir serán resueltas por la organización del Encuentro.

Concursos de BD e Cartoon do XIX FIBDA

O Festival Internacional de Banda Desenhada da Amadora (FIBDA), que, este ano, se realiza entre 24 de Outubro e 9 deNovembro, organiza, anualmente, Concursos de BD e de Cartoon com os propósitos de encontrar novos valores, incentivar a produção da Banda Desenhada e proporcionar a sua apresentação pública. Para a 19ª edição foi seleccionado para tema dos concursos "Tecnologia e Ficção Científica" sendo, simultaneamente, o tema central do FIBDA. Na categoria de Banda Desenhada, existem dois escalões etários: escalão A (dos 17 aos 30 anos) eescalão B (dos 12 aos 16 anos), enquanto que na categoria de Cartoon apenas existe um escalão, podendo concorrer todos os interessados entre os 16 e os 30 anos. Os Concursos do FIBDA premeiam sempre os vencedores em valor pecuniário. Banda Desenhada: escalão A: 1º prémio (1000 euros); 2º prémio (750 euros) e 3º prémio (600 euros) escalão B: 1º prémio (750 euros); 2º prémio (600 euros) e 3º prémio (500 euros) Cartoon: 1º prémio (600 euros); 2º prémio (450 euros) e 3º prémio (350 euros) Como referido, a data limite para entrega dos trabalhos, nas duas categorias, é o dia 10 de Setembro. Planeta DeAgostini convoca su Primer Premio Internacional de Cómic con el objetivo de promover la creación de proyectos de alto nivel en el ámbito de la historieta.
El proyecto ganador será publicado por Planeta DeAgostini Cómics y estará dotado con un premio de 20.000 euros.
El plazo de recepción de los trabajos comenzará el 30 de julio y finalizará el próximo 15 de noviembre.Debido al carácter internacional del concurso, las obras pueden estar escritas en español, inglés, francés o italiano; y tener un mínimo de 46 páginas.

AUTORES:
1.- Podrán participar en este concurso cualquier persona, de cualquier nacionalidad. Para el caso de que el participante fuese menor de edad no emancipado en su país de origen, deberá incluirse una autorización expresa de los representantes legales (tutores/padres) para la participación en este premio así como el compromiso para la suscripción del contrato de cesión de derechos de explotación de la obra, para el caso que ésta fuese ganadora.
2.- Podrá presentarse un proyecto realizado por un solo autor o por varios autores integrantes que se repartan sus tareas entre guionistas, dibujantes, entintadores y coloristas, que serán considerados coautores.
3.- Los autores o coautores participantes en el premio se comprometen a no presentar su proyecto a otros concursos hasta conocerse el fallo de éste.
OBRAS:
4.- Los proyectos de obra para presentar al premio deberán ajustarse a los siguientes requisitos:- Obras escritas en cualquiera de estos idiomas: español, inglés, francés o italiano.- Obras originales e inéditas, es decir, no publicadas en formato libro, electrónico, internet ni seriado en revistas.- Obras no premiadas en otros concursos o en proceso de fallo en otros concursos.- El estilo, tratamiento y géneros de las obras serán totalmente libres.- Sólo se podrá presentar una obra por autor o por coautores.- Las obras deberán tener un mínimo de 46 páginas por una cara de historietas, no existiendo máximo.
AUTORÍA, ORIGINALIDAD Y DIVULGACIÓN DE LA OBRA:
5.- La participación en el concurso supone el conocimiento y la aceptación de las presentes bases, así como:• La garantía por parte del participante, con total indemnidad para Editorial Planeta DeAgostini, S.A., de la autoría y la originalidad de la obra presentada y de que ésta no es copia ni modificación parcial o total de ninguna obra propia o ajena.• La garantía por parte del participante, con total indemnidad para Editorial Planeta DeAgostini, S.A., del carácter inédito en todo el mundo de la obra presentada y de la titularidad en exclusiva sin carga ni limitación alguna de todos los derechos de explotación sobre la obra.• El consentimiento del participante a la reproducción, distribución y comunicación pública de la obra presentada en caso de resultar premiada.
FORMATO DE PRESENTACIÓN:
6.- No se admitirán originales, sólo copias en tamaño DIN A4, indicando en hoja aparte el nombre del autor o nombres de los coautores y datos de contacto (dirección, teléfono y correo electrónico).
7.- Es necesario la inclusión de fotocopia de un documento nacional de identidad válido del país de residencia del autor o coautores. En el caso de ser menor/es de edad no emancipados en el país de residencia, también deberán presentar copia del documento nacional de identidad los representantes legales.
8.- Para la correcta valoración del proyecto se requiere una sinopsis completa en un máximo de dos hojas escritas en español, inglés, francés o italiano, así como un mínimo de ocho páginas de historieta ya finalizadas con su correspondiente guión.
DIRECCIÓN DE ENVÍO:
9.- Los proyectos de obras, en el formato indicado y con los datos y documentos especificados en los punto 5º, 6º y 7º anteriores, se harán llegar a Planeta DeAgostini Cómics en un sobre cerrado, indicando en el mismo “Primer Premio Internacional de Cómic de Planeta DeAgostini”, a la siguiente dirección postal:“Planeta DeAgostini Cómics”, Avda. Diagonal, 662 – 664, 3º - 08034 de Barcelona..
PREMIO:
10.- Se otorgará como ganadora a la obra que se considere que tiene mayor merecimiento en cuanto a las votaciones del jurado. El premio supone la publicación de la obra y está dotado de VEINTE MIL EUROS (20.000.- euros), abonado en dos partes, un 30% a la firma del contrato de edición correspondiente y un 70% a la entrega final del material a publicar. El importe del premio está sujeto a la legislación vigente en cuanto a retenciones señale la normativa fiscal. Este importe se considera como anticipo de los derechos de autor que genere la obra.
11.- Editorial Planeta DeAgostini, S.A. (Cómics) tendrá, en exclusiva y por contrato, todos los derechos de explotación sobre la obra a nivel mundial durante 10 años.
12.- Editorial Planeta DeAgostini, S.A. (Cómics) se reserva el derecho de negociar con otros autores no premiados la posibilidad de publicar sus obras, si fuera del interés de la editorial.
CESIÓN DE DERECHOS DE EXPLOTACIÓN
13.- El otorgamiento del premio supone que el autor o los coautores galardonados ceden en exclusiva a Editorial Planeta DeAgostini, S.A. todos los derechos de explotación de la obra, en todos los países y para todas las lenguas del mundo, así como ceden todos los derechos de edición en todos los soportes.El autor o coautores galardonados se obligan a suscribir el contrato o contratos de edición y cesión de los derechos de explotación en exclusiva a la editorial sobre la obra premiada en un plazo máximo de un mes desde el fallo del premio.
JURADO:
14.- El jurado estará compuesto por profesionales del sector del cómic designados libremente por Editorial Planeta DeAgostini, S.A., tanto del campo de la creación, como de la edición y la crítica. El sistema de calificación, selección y votación de las obras presentadas será establecido por Editorial Planeta DeAgostini, S.A.. Las deliberaciones del jurado serán secretas. El fallo definitivo se adoptará por mayoría simple.
PLAZOS:
15.- El plazo de admisión de los proyectos de obra dará comienzo el día 30 de julio de 2008 y finalizará el 15 de noviembre de 2008. Se entenderá que entran a concurso aquellos trabajos que tengan fecha de entrada en Correos como máximo el 15 de noviembre de 2008.
16.- El fallo del jurado, que será inapelable, se dará a conocer a finales de enero de 2009, en la web de la sociedad www.planetadeagostinicomics.com (y/o en un acto público).El Premio puede declararse desierto
17.- La obra premiada lista para edición deberá ser entregada en su totalidad (interiores y cubierta) por el autor o coautores antes del día 1 de julio de 2009, publicándose la misma antes del final del año 2009.
18.- Las copias de las obras no premiadas no serán devueltas, pudiendo ser destruidas al finalizar el proceso del concurso.
FUERO
19.- Para cuantas dudas puedan derivarse de la interpretación del presente documento o para toda cuestión litigiosa dimanante del mismo, las partes se someten a la jurisdicción y fuero de los Juzgados y Tribunales de Barcelona, con renuncia expresa a cualquier otro fuero que pudiera corresponderles.
20.- Las presentes bases se depositan ante el Notario del Ilustre Colegio de Cataluña Don Mariano Gimeno V.-Gamazo para garantía de los participantes.

The first cartoon competition is held in Athens by the "TV Ethnos" magazine of the Editorial group Pegasus. The annual competition is open to professional and amateur cartoonists from all over the world.

6. The minimum size of works is A4 (210 x 297mm). The maximum size is A3 (297 x420 mm) and should be sent without a frame. Each artist / cartoonist may submit up to three works.
7. The prizes:

In addition there will be three special prizes.
8. Works that have been awarded in previous competitions will not be accepted.
9. The foundation will not be responsible for damage that may occur during postage and handling.
10. A short biography of the artist and a photograph should be attached.
11. All the selected cartoons will be exhibited in Athens and possibly in other parts of Greece, over time.
12. The jury composed of distinguished Greek and foreign cartoonists and Personalities from the Cultural and Artistic area, will meet in October 2008 in Athens to announce the winners.
13. The foundation will cover the travel and accommodation expenses of the first three prize-winning cartoonists for the award ceremony in Athens.
14. The award-winning cartoons will not be returned to artists while the cartoons, which do not win awards, will be returned to the artists upon written request.
15. A competition catalogue will be published. The participant artists will receive a copy of the catalogue.
16. The award ceremony and exhibition of selected cartoons by the committee will be held in December 2008 in Athens.
17. Following the announcement of the results of the illustrations will be posted on the site of the organizers.
18. After the announcement of the winners, there will be a period of 15 days for filling complaints or objections against the award-winning works for similarities or awards in previous competitions. 19. After examining the complaints the final results will be announced and are nonnegotiable.
20. 1– SALÃO DA BIENAL INTERNACIONAL DE CARICATURA E DESENHO DE HUMOR 2008, organizado pela prefeitura municipal de Santa Cruz de Tenerife – Agência cultural do Governo (em espanhol "Organismo Autonomo de Cultura", também conhecido como "O.A.C.").
2- Participantes - A participação do salão é gratuita. Cada participante em cada variedade pode tomar parte com o máximo de um (1) trabalho, que deve ser inédito, não exibido previamente nem neste nem em outros salões. A prefeitura de Santa Cruz de Tenerife O.A.C. fará todas as negociações relevantes e ações conforme necessário, para garantir, no que concerne aos artistas, a observância desta obrigação. Se, durante o exercício destas tarefas de controle, na parte do O.A.C., a falha de cumprir estas obrigações for provada, então os artistas envolvidos serão imediatamente desqualificados em qualquer dos estágios deste salão, perdendo, no caso dele/dela vencer o prêmio.
3 - Tema - Os participantes na sessão Desenho de Humor terão de mandar o máximo de um trabalho, tendo como único tema para 2008: “Santa Cruz carrega o nome de uma mulher: Cruci”. Para as competições subseqüentes, no caso das regras presentes serem adiadas, o tema será decidido através de decisão específica do presidente da O.A.C. O trabalho deve ser original e ter qualquer técnica gráfica. Eles só deverão estar no formato 35 x 50 cm, sem molduras e incluir suas condicionais "passe partout".
4 – Prêmios: Caricatura pessoal - Primeiro lugar: €10,000.Segundo lugar: €1,800.Terceiro lugar: €1,200. As cópias registradas servirão de recibo de depósito.· Promessa de originalidade do trabalho, denotando que o artista detêm todos os direitos de propriedade intelectual do trabalho.· Se um trabalho é apresentado por um grupo artístico, um representante deve ser nomeado, para identificação e por motivos de controle, em caso do trabalho mencionado ser premiado.Os participantes terão a responsabilidade de postagem, envio e retorno. 6 – Termo de Admissão - O prazo final para o carimbo do correio em 2008 são dos dias após a publicação destas regras na placa de anúncios do O.A.C. durante 29 de Setembro. Além disto, o salão será publicado em qualquer mídia que o Painel considerar apropriado.
7 – O Juri sera presidido pelo presidente do O.A.C., ou por qualquer pessoa que ele/ela delegar. Além disto, haverão dois “mesários” com relação profissional com a meta das regras presentes. A Secretaria de Delegação do O.A.C., ou qualquer pessoa que ele/ela delegar, atuará como secretário, devendo dizer o que for neste assunto. O painel não terá qualquer relação com os participantes do salão desde que o processo comece. O veredicto do painel será final. O juri pode tomar quaisquer decisões consideradas aconselháveis com o desenvolvimento apropriado da seleção e do veredicto. O veredicto será anunciado na mídia local, também publicando os nomes dos diferentes membros do Juri.
8 – Procedimento para a seleção e veredicto do Juri - Entre os trabalhos recebidos, o juri fará uma seleção prévia de acordo com a qualidade. Para premiar, o procedimento usado sera estabelecido pelo Presidente do Juri de acordo com o número de participantes. Em caso de empate, haverá nova votação, devido ao fato de que o prêmio não pode ser dividido em dois ou mais trabalhos. Somente um pode ser premiado. O veredicto do Juri será anunciado em dezembro de 2008 e será final.O painel pode declarar o prêmio vazio.
9– Posse - Os trabalhos apresentados e não selecionado devem ser retirados pelos próprios artistas em um termo de quinze dias (dias úteis e dias não-úteis incluídos) do dia do veredicto, que sera publicado na placa de anúncios ("Tablon de Anuncios") do escritório de Registros do O.A.C. ("Oficinas de Registro"). Os trabalhos selecionados e não premiadas devem ser retirados em um termo de quinze dias (dias úteis e não-úteis incluídos) do fim da exibição, e os artistas serão informados no exato momento. Em ambos os casos, será essencial mostrar o correspondente recibo do formulário de inscrição. Não retirar os trabalhos durante os termos mencionados anteriormente significa que o O.A.C. declina a responsabilidade sobre eles, fazendo como encarar adequado. Os trabalhos premiados se tornarão propriedade do O.A.C., incluindo também todos os direitos relacionados ao seu uso, reprodução e exibição em qualquer meio, com exceção aos direitos morais legalmente planeados.

2 – Participants - To join this contest is free. Each participant in each variety can take part with a maximum of one (1) work, which must be unheard-of and non exhibited before, either in this or in other contests. Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Hall’s O.A.C. will do all the relevant negotiations and actions as it sees feet, in order to guarantee, on the part of the artists, the observance of this obligation. If, during the exercise of these controlling tasks, on the part of the O.A.C., the failure to comply with this obligation were proved, then the artist or artists involved would be immediately disqualified in any of the stages of this contest, losing, in case s-he had won it, the prize awarded.
3– Subject - The participants in the Humorous Drawing section will have to send a maximum of one work, having as an only subject for 2008: “Santa Cruz bears a woman’s name: Cruci”. For subsequent competitions, in case the present rules were deferred, the subject will be decided through specific Decision of the President of the O.A.C.The works must be original and carried out in any pictorial technique. They will have an only format of 35 X 50 cm, without framework and included their conditional “passe partout”.

5 – Registration The works must be presented at the O.A.C. Registry (“Registro”), located at Centro de Arte La Recova, Plaza Marcos Redondo nº 2, 38003 Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Edificio Centro de Arte la Recova, nº 2, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, according to the following office hours:From October to June: from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 to 13:30.July, August and September: from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 to 13:00.Likewise, the works can be presented at the offices of the places planned in the article 38 of the Law 30/1992, 26th November, from the “Régimen Jurídico de las Administraciones Públicas y Procedimiento Administrativo Común”.The works must be signed in a non-visible place, together with a Closed Envelope with the following data:· Artist’s name and surname.· Artistic variety in which s-he takes part.· Photocopy of his or her Identity Card, passport or EU residence card.· Updated data concerning address, phone number and e-mail.· CV.· It is compulsory for each artist to fill in an official registration form that the O.A.C. will put at any participant’s disposal in the O.A.C.’s “Ventanilla Única” (“Window”). The registered copy will serve as a deposit receipt.· Sworn statement on the work’s originality, remarking that the artist holds its intellectual property rights.· If a work is presented by an artistic group, a representative must be named, for identification and controlling reasons, in case the mentioned work is awarded.The participants will have the responsibility of postage, shipping & return. The O.A.C. will not be responsible for losses or damages the work may suffer during its haulage.The works must be presented in its corresponding packing, facilitating its recycling after being returned.The O.A.C. will look after the received works, but it declines any responsibility for losses, damages or theft, as well as for any incident occurring during its exhibition. The O.A.C. keeps right on rejecting works not fulfilling some of the mentioned requirements. Also, if any work or its packing shows a defective state, it will be rejected.
6 – Admission TermThe postmark deadlines for 2008 are from the day after the publication of these rules in the notice board of the O.A.C. through 29th September. Besides, the contest will be advertised in any media the Panel sees fit.
7 – PanelThe Panel will be presided over by the President of the O.A.C., or any person to which s-he delegates. Besides, there will be two chairpeople having a professional relationship with the aim of the present rules. The O.A.C. Delegate Secretary, or any person to which s-he delegates, will act as a Secretary, having no say whatsoever in this matter.The Panel will not have any relationship with the participants in the contest as long as the process takes place. The Panel’s verdict will be final. The Panel can take any decisions considered advisable for the appropriate development of the selection and the verdict.The verdict will be announced in local media, also publishing the names of the different members of the Panel.
8 – Procedure for the selection and verdict of the PanelAmong the received works, the Panel will make a previous selection according to their quality. For awarding the prize, the procedure used will be established by the President of the Panel according to the number of participants. In case of tie, there will be another votation, due to the fact that the prize cannot be splitted into two or more works. Only one work must be awarded.The verdict of the Panel will be announced in December 2008, and it will be final.The Panel can declare the prize void.
9 – Ownership The works presented and not selected must be retired by the artists themselves in a fifteen-day term (working and non-working days included) from the day the verdict is issued, which will be published in the Notice Board (“Tablón de Anuncios”) of the O.A.C. Registry Offices (“Oficinas de Registro”). The works selected and not awarded must be retired in a fifteen-day term (working and non-working days included) from the end of the exhibition, and the artists will be told at the right moment. In both cases, it will be essential to show the corresponding registration form receipt.Not removing the works during the terms mentioned before means that the O.A.C. declines any responsibility on them, doing as it sees fit.The awarded works will become a property of the O.A.C., including also all the rights related to their use, reproduction and exhibition in any medium, with the exception of the moral rights legally planned.
10 – Final Regulations- The registration in this contest implies complete and unquestionable acceptance of these rules. Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Hall’s O.A.C., in case there is any doubt, keeps right on interpreting these rules as well as of modifying them according to public interest reasons.

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS:
1-This contest and exhibition is open to all professional and amateur cartoonists of any nationality religion and background…

2-Subjects-Topics: Cartoons against detroying the olive trees, olive, olive industry, olive oil, olive branch, olive tree, cutting olive trees, benefit from olive etc...

3-The minimum and maximum sizes of each cartoon to be submitted must be A4 and A3. Cartoons can be drawn in any colour… There shall be no frame nor any bandages around the cartoons…
4-The cartoons must be original... Photocopies and technically produced (from the computer) cartoons will not be evaluated. This type of cartoons will only be exhibited or will be put in the albume if approved by the selection committee...

5-The cartoons submitted to the contest which will be pre-elected will be put and exhibited on a web page for the attention and objection of international cartoon associations to overcome copying and steeling… Any cartoon which is copied, stolen or awarded in other cartoon contest will be disqualified…

6-All participants are allowed to submit maximum two cartoons… Name, surname, address, e-mail and telephone numbers of the participants must be written at the back of each cartoon… A short resume and photograph must also be attached…

7-All the cartoons must reach to the specified addresss till 30 August 2008… The cartoonists themselves will be responsible from all losses, delays and damages…

8-Being publicated or not is not important for the cartoons… The important thing is that they should not be awarded in any contest…

9-All cartoons eligible for an award or not shall not be returned and shall be stored in archive of the "Cyprus Inernational Catoon Museum."

10-Besides those cartoons which will be awarded, all the cartoons approved by the selection committee will be pubicated in an album and exhibited in Zeytinlik Village at 5-10 October 2008 during the “7th International Olive Festival”.

Somos un grupo de mozos que pertencemos á Asociación Xuvenil AMENCER de Ourense e formamos dentro dela á Comisión Xalgarete que trata de normalizar e promocionar o idioma e a cultura galega entre a xente moza.
Escribímoslle coa intención de obter de vostede unha ilustración / debuxo / caricatura / tira ou páxina de banda desenada. O protagonista é Alexandre Bóveda cando xa levamos varios anos da celebración dos 100 anos do seu nacemento. Asumindo a dificultade ao ser algo tan concreto, podería ser un debuxo relacionado con Galiza.
O noso proxecto consiste en realizar unha sinxela publicación con diversas opinións e ilustracións sobre Alexandre Bóveda de xente significativa do noso pais para darlle a conecer á xente moza de Galicia. Sería publicar un "Cousas sobre Bóveda" do estilo narrativo breve de Castelao. Xa hai anos fixemos o mesmo con Castelao e saíu unha publicación titulada "Cousas sobre Castelao" na que participaron máis de quince ilustradores. Gustaríanos neste ano facer o mesmo con Bóveda.
O que lle pedimos é moi doado pois sería que nos "regalase" un debuxo / ilustración / caricatura / tira ou páxina de banda desenada coa técnica, estilo e formato que vostede desexe no que a temática sexa Alexandre Bóveda ou Galiza en xeral.

Conditions of entry:
1. All entries must be original cartoons. Framed works,also,will not be accepted.

Authors of works that quality to the exhibition are given a presentation copy of the exhibition catalogue (DVD). The works will be returned only on the special reqest of an autor.The postage EUR4 will be paid by autor. The organizer reserves the right to reproduce the works sent to the festival, Solin 2008, as the advertising material without being obliged to pay a fee to an author whose work may be used.The prize-winning works become property of the organizer.

THE THIRD INTERNATIONAL DON QUICHOTTE CARTOON CONTEST

In our world today 6800 languages are spoken in over 200 countries. Even in the countries having the same language exist dialects. Consequently each country adds its own social values to the language and makes it more colorful. On the other hand, in the latest 500 years about 750 languages are disappeared forever. According to the linguists, every 15 days a language is disappearing on the earth. One of the crucial reasons for this devastation is colonialism for sure.There is a dialogue among languages as well. For example Latin lies at the root of many languages. In connecting people language plays an important role; while doing so it can build borders and remove them as well. Chinese is the most widespread language in the world. Second comes Spanish. English is the state language of 52 countries as you can surmise.Even if we cannot imagine a positive religious dialogue we can talk about a worldwide linguistic dialogue which is much more attractive and active. The aim of our contest is to convey this rich variety through cartoons as much as possible. The most succesful cartoonists in reflecting the linguistic dialogue will be rewarded by the worldwide top 15 jury of cartoonists whose members are also in the “Don Quichotte Cartoon Committee”.
THE RULES OF COMPETITION:
1) With participation in competition is possible only by Internet. (donquichotte@donquichotte.at / donquichotte@gmx.net)
2) The participating work may have been published neither with another competition presented nor on any way. With an offence, the deprivation of the achieved prices is the result.
3) The designs are to be drawn in A3-Size to deliver in 300 dpi dissolution and in JPEG format. They know both and black-and-white, and to be colored, the coloured representation is exactly the same as the colortechnical treatment of the work is incumbent on not a containment.
4) The sent in caricatures are issued first on the web pages of the “Don Quichotte” under the column “Today”. Thus the work those is excluded the regulation to contradict, promptly from the competition. Thus in the past the pretty often experienced unauthorized counterfeit, of a work is avoided.
5) The closing date of the competition is 31 Juli 2008.
6) The jury, which consists from international well-known cartoonists, evaluates the forwarded art-works in September. Results of this evaluation and the award-winning art-works will be published on 1st Octobre 2008.
7) The award of the prize will take place in the context of the opening of the exhibition in Oktober in Esslingen (place and date of this meeting are communicated at a later time).

International Cartoon Сontest CITY & SEA Odessa 2008

DEADLINE: 25.08.2008
Editorship of Odessa magazine «Delovaya Sreda», newspaper «Bazar.» and Association of Odessa Cartoonists announce holding of International Cartoon Contest named «CITY and SEA».

Located at the Black Sea coast Odessa City is a center of international tourism, shipping, industry. Odessa Architecture reflects different styles and epochs, and it adds special color to this city. Mild climate, plenty of sun, cozy beaches make this city being a center of Ukrainian tourism. Multinationality of Odessa and tolerance of Odessa citizens have created a specific sense of humor.

The theme of contest is «City and Sea». Events, people, nature, architecture can be reflected in humorous manner, possibly with Russian or English inscriptions.

PARTICIPATION TERMS:
1) Every cartoonist can participate in the contest.
2) Cartoons (electronic copies) can be performed in any technique. Number of cartoons are limited to five. Cartoons awarded at other cartoon contests can also participate.
3) Deadline of works reception – August 25, 2008, but if participants want their works to be exhibited in tourists attendance places and participate in the contest of audience sympathy, the works should be sent as soon as possible.
4) Works sent to the contests would be exhibited during the period from July 1 till September 3 being accessible in Odessa City.
3) Works have to send by e-mail and should have 300 dpi resolution, А4 size in JPEG or PDF format of 1,5 Mb maximum.
5) Summary and announcement of the winner would take place within the framework of holiday events dedicated to Odessa City Day – September 2, 2008.

7) Works sent to the contest can be used by the founders for production of promotional materials and for the broadcast in internet.

8) Each cartoon is to be sent by a separate message with the inquiry form of the artist, address, e-mail address and author’s photo attached to.
9) The artists agree that their works can be used in the demonstrations in Ukraine and abroad by participation in the contests

10) Exhibition CD catalogue will be send to each of the exebition participant.

Exibição Internacional de Cartoon sobre o Meio Ambiente - BALI

Prazo Final: 20 de Julho de 2008
A Associação de Cartunistas Indonésios conduzirão uma exibição de cartoon em 6 de Agosto de 2008, sobre o meio ambiente.
O Tema da exibição é “O Meio Ambiente”.
Cartoons podem ser enviados por e-mail, em clara resolução de 300dpi. O tamanho é A3.
Um retrato – foto ou uma caricatura do artista deve estar anexado, assim como uma pequena biografia. Isto sera usado no catálogo da exibição e possivelmente na revista de cartum de Bali bog-bog.
Obras não serão devolvidas.
Caricaturas, fotos e biografias devem ser enviadas para: balicartoon@gmail.com.
Obras também podem ser enviadas por correio ou registradas no correio no papel tamanho A3, endereçado a: PAKARTI Indonesian Cartoonists Association, Jl. Veteran 39A Denpasar Bali Indonesia.
Qualquer técnica de cartoon é aceitável.
Não há limite ao número de cartoons que podem ser enviados.

Regulamento
O primeiro festival de Retrofit acontecerá em Tabriz em Outubro de 2008 e nós nos sentiremos honrados se você aceitar nosso convite e nos enviar seu cartum. O Salão de cartum Internacional de Retrofit é mantido em Tabriz pela Organização Nacional de Retrofit. A competição está aberta para cartunistas profissionais e amadores de todo o mundo.
Informações Gerais1) Tema: Inovação na Indústria de Construção / retrofit em construções contra terrmotos.
Objetivos: Prevenir estruturas não projetadas por engenheiros focando em casas de vilas / usando tecnologia moderna em construção.
2) Participantes tomam parte da competição com cartuns originais. Cartuns devem ser assinados pelo cartunista em caso deles serem submetidos como impressões de computador. Fotografias, fotocópias, etc., não serão aceitas.
3) O tamanho dos cartuns não deve exceder 29.7 x 42 cm ( tamanho do papel A3.) e não há limite para o envio dos cartuns.
4) A organização não será responsável por dano que possa ocorrer durante a postagem e manipulação.
5) A competição está aberta a cartunistas profissionais e amadores de todo o mundo.
6) Participantes devem preencher o formulário de participação e enviá-lo, com um pequeno curriculum vitae como foto junto com os cartuns. De outra foram a inscrição não será considerada.
7) O Júri composto por membros estrangeiros se encontrará em Setembro de 2008.
8) Cartuns vencedores não serão devolvidos aos artistas.
9) Ao preencher o formulário de inscrição anexado, o participante declara e aceita que abandonou os direitos financeiros que mantêm pelo cartum ou cartuns vis-à-vis o público do Centro Nacional de Retrofit do Irã (INRC) sem limitações de localização, período de tempo e número incluindo assinatura a terceiros sob Artigos 21-25 da Lei de Direitos à Propriedade Intelectual para a publicação. Aceita que a Organização Nacional de Retrofit do Irã pode usar tais cartuns, exibi-los, mantê-los em arquivos e publicá-los na Internet ou em outro meio de comunicação.
10) O Primeiro Salão Internacional de Retrofit irá celebrar uma cerimônia de premiação em Outubro de 2008, em Tabriz.
